Professional fine art photography has always defined Deborah Grooms. She began her own portraiture business, 'Deborah Grooms Photography', soon after graduating from James Madison University in her native Virginia at 21.
With global and celebrity clientele from sports and business, her talents are in high demand. While living in Greece, she often flew to the US to satisfy her clients.
Deborah's reputation as an artist has grown rapidly resulting in her husband, Carlton, joining her full-time in 2004. The one year photographic journey around the world was her idea, made possible only by her vision for what she can achieve both as an artist and a business woman.
As a former carrier-based Naval Aviator, Carlton is no stranger to adventure and travel. A native of Portland, Maine his wanderlust began at 18 mos. old when his family moved to Singapore. After living in four more countries, including Somalia and Zambia in the late 70's and early 80's, he finally returned to the US full-time at 15.
Carlton received his MBA from The Wharton School, at The University of Pennsylvania. Thereafter he helped build Disney's new park in Hong Kong, was an executive at a major Internet company and Managing Director of an Internet & Defense Company based in Greece.
While always active with Deborah in photography, it was not until 2004 when he pursued fine art photography with his singular focus on excellence full time. Today Carlton owns Coastlines & Tan Lines™ an island lifestyle focused company, which includes a blog of the same name and a swim suit company.
